Precept
The Precept is that element of your Council Tax that is paid to Stoughton Parish Council.
Every year, the Council draws up budgets and calculates how much money it needs for the next Financial Year. These are usually finalised in the January Full Council meeting and then submitted to Harborough District Council for co-ordination. HDC come up with the rate to be paid from 1st April that year.
The Precept requirement for 2024 to 2025 is £10,794
The budgeted Parish Precept is based on 169.9 band D equivalent properties.
